Hi there, fellow bookworm! I’m Anne from Immersed in Books and it’s lovely to meet you.
Let me tell you a little about myself…
I am currently owned by two cats who are named after fictional characters: Lucy (Pevensie) and George (Weasley), who like to take me to task if I’m not with them during my reading sessions. I’ve gained the title of Doctor, after completing my PhD in the field of Victorian women’s writings during crises, so you can probably tell that my interest in the written word is a deep and abiding love.
I’m an avid reader of all things fantasy, with a splash of murder mystery and historical fiction thrown in. In fact, you can take me into any bookstore and I’ll still be there hours later (so maybe set me a time limit)!
I read both indie and traditionally published books, because in 2018 my world changed with my first indie YA fantasy (Heart of Mist by Helen Scheuerer). Indie authors are exceptional, and I’ve never stopped searching for more indie books to love… Why limit myself, right?!
Here I’ll be doing book reviews of my latest reads, revisiting a few old friends in the fantasy genre, and essentially just being Immersed in Books.
I love meeting fellow bookworms and am so excited to have you join me on this adventure!
