Well glitterbugs, you may have seen the post about my April 2025 Books Recap on Instagram a little while ago… But if you haven’t? Essentially, I admitted I didn’t stick to my April Book Goals this time around. And it’s safe to say I was an unapologetic bookworm about it! After all, it’s not a bad thing to prioritise your wellbeing. But having said that, what did I actually read? Let’s have a look…

I’m switching it up for this recap, with a grand total of two books having been read and reviewed on my blog. The other ones that I read? They were all four star reads, but I didn’t have the energy to give you a full blown review—hence why they only got star ratings via my Goodreads profile. But if you’re in the mood for fantasy romance goodness? Click the links below to see the reviews for two wonderful stories!

And the April Favourite Read Goes To…

For this April 2025 Books Recap, the favourite has to be Beg The Night by Emily Blackwood!

Emily doesn’t give her readers a soft landing in her stories. Instead, she throws us into a pit of heartache and chaos, while happily eating popcorn on a viewing platform. Or that could just be my imagination. But either way, Beg The Night is a dark romantasy which tugs you into the eye of the storm and tells you to hold on. And oh my goodness am I glad I did. Full of desperate villains, shattered hearts and devastating powers, you are in for a magnificent adventure when you dive into this tale.

And that’s a wrap, glitterbugs!

Happy reading, dear bookworms. And stay tuned for what’s coming in May…
