It’s day two of a new month, so it’s probably time to chat about my April 2026 Book Goals, isn’t it? I have so many things on the go, but once again it’s not really Immersed in Books focused… Which will probably make you wonder why I’m writing this post! But, as it turns out, even when I’m not concentrating on my blog? It hurts my soul to completely ditch it… Which is how you get a very chatty post from yours truly instead. You’re welcome!
What’s on the TBR list?
Alrighty friends, I know I said I’m not focused on this kind of adventuring for April, *but* I really do need to write some reviews. So while I’ll be reading other books (ones I don’t feel a compulsion to write a review for), here’s the ones yelling at me to get my act together:
- Dire Bound: Sable Sorenson
- A Crown So Silver: Lyra Selene
- The Wolf and the Crown of Blood: Elizabeth May
- Hide the Witches: Miranda Lyn (ARC)
But we do have a plot twist…
I admit, your Anne is slipping as I haven’t checked what I’ve pre-ordered for April. So instead of any anticipated release dates for my April 2026 Book Goals? Let’s talk about the plot twist which dropped into my Kindle yesterday…
That’s right, Helen Scheuerer sent a very early copy of Kiss of the Black Flame my way yesterday afternoon! AND MY WORLD HAS ALREADY BEEN ALTERED. I’m only up to chapter seven and I’m already calling it: this is now my favourite story of Helen’s. I didn’t think anything could top Thezmarr, but you know what happened? Kiss of the Black Flame wandered up to the tavern and said “Hold my sour mead.” I am not okay—I am, as the youth say, “Completely SHOOKETH.”
