We’re only a couple of days into September, so for once I think my August 2025 Books Recap is fairly on time! Am I celebrating that? Yes, yes I am. Did I reach all of my August Book Goals? Well glitterbugs, that’s a different thing entirely… But it’s time to find out!

It’s not a huge list, but I read three absolutely wonderful tales during August. I’m talking stories that made me cry like I’d lost my best friend, stories that had me on the edge of my seat. How lucky am I to have read such adventures?! While I didn’t manage to get to A City of Smoke and Demons by K. M. Schumacher, it will definitely be happening this month. And the August Favourite Read Goes To…
For my August 2025 Books Recap, it *has* to go to Evermore by Miranda Lyn. This romantasy broke me, and it did it without hesitation. I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve cried as hard over a story as I did with this book! Miranda’s writing is gloriously emotional, and ever so powerful.
Like I said in my review, this is a phenomenal dark romantasy full of broken hearts, capricious gods, and the determination to rise despite it all. And if ever you’ve loved the romantic fantasy genre? The Never Sky series is one you cannot miss. Trust me.
