Well we positively rushed through the month, didn’t we! And now that it’s time to give you my August Books Recap, I feel like I haven’t done too badly when comparing it to my August Book Goals! I kept pretty close to my bookish goals, and am currently finishing up one of the few TBRs I didn’t finish in time, reading the fantastic epic fantasy Trillias Gambit by J. V. Hilliard. So what *did* I read this August? Let’s dive in, shall we…
Links to Book Review Goodness:

Oh bookworms, what a month it was! And although I also read an ARC of Miranda Lyn’s brilliant novella, The Unblessed Witch, there’s been a few spanners in the works so I’m holding off on posting my review (and links) with that one until everything’s sorted. Rest assured, it’s going to be a 5 star review! But without further ado, here’s some book review goodness for the other tales I’ve read this month:
Rule of the Aurora King: Nisha J. Tuli
A Court of Verity and Lies: Zara Dusk
This Wicked Fate: Amanda Aggie
Marked for the Pyre: M. T. Fontaine
Heart of Night and Fire: Nisha J. Tuli
Where Magic Begins: Faith Prince
And the August Favourite Read Goes To…
I don’t think I’ve ever done this before, but my favourite read in this August Books Recap has to be tied between two phenomenal stories!
The first is Vows & Ruins, the second instalment in Helen Scheuerer’s *exceptional* Legends of Thezmarr series. Like I’ve said in my review, this epic romantic fantasy will steal your heart, your mind, and your soul. If you want a tale featuring forbidden love, found family and a war which could break the entire realm? Vows & Ruins is for you!
And what’s the second read which can tie with such an amazing romantic fantasy? Heart of Night and Fire by Nisha J. Tuli! Delicate, vicious and brimming with magic, this fantasy romance absolutely sparkles with intensity. I am completely obsessed with the new world Nisha has created, and firmly believe everyone needs to read this book!
And that’s a wrap, glitterbugs!
Happy reading, dear bookworms. And stay tuned for more reviews in September…
