Overview:
Was I fangirling extra hard when Fulfilling Fate arrived in my inbox? I think we all know the answer to that… This is the big finale to indie author M. A. Frick’s fantasy romance trilogy, Fate Unraveled, and I couldn’t be more excited to tell you *all* about it. So let’s give you an overview before I explode trying to hold it all in!
Since her banishment by the king, Avyanna has braved the deadly reaches of the world with Tizmet to find her own little slice of peace. Rafe has finally joined her, and they’re trying to make the best of being commoners, rather than the warriors they are. But when the Shadows march against everyone Avyanna holds dear back home, can she accept their impending death? Is it possible to stay away, when every dragon is needed in this war? And what will the realm look like, if Tizmet is not the only dragon laying a new group of hatchlings? Nowhere is safe, and sometimes death is the least terrible outcome…
Happiness Boost:
The bond between Tizmet and Avyanna is a thing of both humour and beauty. But can we talk about side characters who are also a pure delight to witness? Dane’s interaction with a young girl by the name of Brandi left me chortling in Fulfilling Fate. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but for such a dark and gritty tale to have these bright sparks of laughter? Take a bow, Melissa! I love how easily you blend the two in this fantasy romance and create such an incredible experience.
Let’s talk about building a story to the highest of crescendos… I’ve read quite a few books by now, and I say that with love. With Fulfilling Fate? I could not stop reading. I didn’t dare look away from the pages. Because the war in this story just ripped all of the breath from my body and left me gasping like a floundering sea creature on land. MELISSA. Words really do fail me for this moment your readers will experience. This is the crown jewel in the Fate Unraveled trilogy, and I’m in awe at the talent on display with every word within this NA fantasy.
Glitterbugs, I have over 500 highlights marked in my e-ARC. If that’s not a sign of how beloved this book is to me, I don’t know what is! Readers are going to endure the wildest of rides, as if Tizmet has allowed us on her back and is now in freefall. And just when you think you’re about to become nothing but a splatter on the ground? The wings are unfurled, and we are saved mere inches from the earth. I adore this book. I really, *really* do. Because I refuse to do spoilers, I won’t say any more. But this story? Get it. Right now. Trust me.
Downside:
No downside for me, I thoroughly enjoyed every second I spent alongside Avyanna!
Final Thoughts:
Fulfilling Fate by indie author M. A. Frick is a gritty, emotional finale to the Fate Unraveled fantasy romance trilogy. Every single fibre of my being is enthralled with this story, and I cannot overstate just how spectacular this book is.
