“Let it all burn.”
Miranda Lyn
Overview:
A huge thank you goes to Miranda Lyn, for letting me dive into Hunt the Dragons more than a month ago! This is the highly anticipated sequel to Hide the Witches, and just to give you a hint of what awaits you in this review… I’m calling Hunt the Dragons my favourite witchy romantasy ever. That’s right — EVER. But without further ado, let’s give you an overview!
Desperate to survive, Syneca Black made a bargain that would see her complete an impossible task. But when you’re one breath away from death, you’ll agree to anything — even to a stranger. Now in the Underworld, Syneca must leave this realm in order to locate a missing dragon… But how is she to do this when the demon princes are hunting her for her powers? Will Silas be able to help her find a way out of this? And as if that wasn’t difficult enough, who will save Lucette Varrow from the darkness, which is stealing both her memories and her awareness? Time is running out…
Happiness Boost:
Hunt the Dragons didn’t come to play: this witchy romantasy absolutely blew my tiny mind. And yes, I’m binding my soul to Miranda’s writing for eternity. Because when we get a story this full of peril, deception, and a yearning that I don’t think I’ll ever recover from? Just take my money Miranda, I don’t care what it costs. This romantasy is worth everything!
Look, if this series is your first time diving into a Miranda Lyn tale? What can I say…. Her love language is all about breaking our hearts. But I promise you the pain is *so* worth it. Because even as Miranda delights in attacking our emotional wellbeing, she also gives us fierce FMCs, an epic found family, and so much more. Will I tell you any more tropes than this? No. Because you need to read this tale without my giving away too much! But do it. Get it right now. I hope you went to add this book to your cart before continuing with my review.
I do have to give a special nod to our beloved Syneca… Because while I honestly love all of the characters within Hunt the Dragons? Syn is a heroine who will speak to every soul who has been told to stay quiet, to hide, to become less. Because this witch said no. Broken, hurt, and facing impossible odds… Syneca stood up in defiance. The world could burn, and Syn would still rise from the ashes. Because she is a reckoning. And that kind of energy? Yes. Just… Yes.
Downside:
There isn’t a downside – I’m not sure one is even possible for this amazing author!
Final Thoughts:
Hunt the Dragons by Miranda Lyn is, in my eyes, the best witchy romantasy ever. And no, I will not be taking further questions. But without further ado, I’m going to go revisit a griffin now that the ebook has dropped on my Kindle. Who has the time to write more when you can dive back into a phenomenal story??
