January 2024 Books RECAP

In this January 2024 Books Recap, there are 8 images of book covers superimposed on a colourful abstract image. Top row: Unbound by Christy Healy, Wings So Wicked by Emily Blackwood, Queen of Gods by Katharine & Elizabeth Corr, Fate & Furies by Helen Scheuerer. Bottom row: The Glass Palace by Kathryn Trattner, Wrath of the Damned by Ella Fields, The Evergreen Heir by A. K. Mulford, Feral Guardian by Ember Holt.

I’ll be honest, my January 2024 Books Recap *still* won’t feature the elusive Fourth Wing (or even Anatomy of Songs), which I’d promised to read way back in my January 2024 Book Goals. I know, I know… You’re probably wondering what on earth I’ve been doing with my time! Rest assured, dear bookworms. I have actually been busy doing bookish things. It’s just that you won’t see a lot of that, because it’s all behind the scenes. Now that’s not mysterious at all, is it?! So what books *did* I get to fall in love with this month? Let’s check them out…

January 2024 Books Recap means we are reading in summer, here in Australia! Image is of a garden in a full riot of colour and growth, with a low stone edging around a section of the garden in the background.
Summer in Australia means a time of growth and colour for the garden, as well as the TBR…

And the January 2024 Favourite Read Goes To…

If you’re surprised by which book I’m picking, I don’t know what to tell you. But the favourite read for this month *has* to go to Fate & Furies by indie author Helen Scheuerer! I am not above saying that this romantic fantasy had me crying (and even laughing) at certain moments, and it would be incredibly dishonest of me to name any other story as my favourite. Is a spicy romantasy of epic quests, dark magic and devastating secrets something you’re intrigued by? Then you *need* this book (and series)! This beautiful book will be released on February 22, so why not pre-order it now and take a day off when it lands in your Kindle or mailbox? Just a thought…

And that’s a wrap, glitterbugs!

Happy reading, dear bookworms. And stay tuned for more reviews in February…
