A belated Happy New Year to you, glitterbugs! I’m coming to you today with my January 2026 Book Goals, but as you’ve undoubtedly surmised, we’re still in a holding pattern with things behind the scenes here… At least in terms of getting the house back in tip-top shape, and reassuring Lu that we have no plans for more vet visits. That last one needs her cooperation though, so wish us luck!
What’s on the TBR list?
My bookish goals are super duper light, but all of those below have been waiting quite a while for me to get my act together—and I think they’ve waited long enough, right?! So without further ado, here’s what I’m hoping to review this month…
- Tides of Torment: N. C. Scrimgeour (ARC)
- Quicksilver: Callie Hart
- Heir of Illusion: Madeline Taylor
- Kissed by the Gods: Caty Rogan
All of the books (aside from the ARC) have been patiently waiting for me to spill the tea, some for a couple of months now, and I can’t abandon my duties any longer. Even if they’re purely self-imposed ones!
And the beautiful ARC? Well, that was meant to be read back in November, but then the massive storm happened… And your Anne-Girl wasn’t coping all that well with the damage it wreaked; honestly everything fell by the wayside! But Tides of Torment is certainly first up on my to do list, because the previous books in the Sea of Souls Saga? Sensational. Truly. And I am so excited to dive into the finale.
