July Books RECAP

July Books Recap: on a purple background are 6 cover images of books. Top row: The Cloisters by Katy Hays, A Court of Fur and Fangs by Zara Dusk, Isle of the Immortal by S. M. Estrada. Bottom row: The Befallen by Cambria Williams, The Dreamer by Jean Swan, Sea of Souls by N. C. Scrimgeour.

Turns out, my July Books Recap is one I can be proud of, despite not reading two of the books from my July Book Goals post! Aside from Katy Hay’s The Cloisters, every other book was from the fantasy genre… And absolutely none of them disappointed! And did I add to the amount of authors I’ll one-click buy? I sure did. My wallet won’t thank me, but my soul? It’s overjoyed!

July Books Recap: Superimposed over a purple background are 3 cover images of books in a downward diagonal line. These books are Trial of the Sun Queen by Nisha J. Tuli, The Stone Circle Queen by Ophelia Wells Langley, Nectar of the Wicked by Ella Fields.
If I wasn’t running out of room, all of these books would become a physical copy on my bookcase!

Okay, I have a confession to make… The link below for The Cloisters in this July Books Recap will lead you to a mini review on my Instagram profile, rather than one here on my blog. It takes a bit of energy to write some reviews, particularly if they’re 3 stars (or less), and I’d much prefer to spend that time on books I’ve completely loved. But without further ado, here’s some book review goodness for all the tales I’ve read this month:

The Cloisters: Katy Hays

A Court of Fur and Fangs: Zara Dusk

Isle of the Immortal: S. M. Estrada

The Befallen: Cambria Williams

The Dreamer: Jean Swan

Sea of Souls: N. C. Scrimgeour

Trial of the Sun Queen: Nisha J. Tuli

The Stone Circle Queen: Ophelia Wells Langley

Nectar of the Wicked: Ella Fields

And the July Favourite Read Goes To…

My heart has found some exceptional authors this July, but there’s one that truly took my breath away: Sea of Souls by N. C. Scrimgeour! As I said in my review, look no further if you want a story of selkies, the treacherous sea and a heroine desperately longing to belong somewhere… Because Sea of Souls is a masterpiece in dark fantasy, high stakes and perilous creatures who can slaughter anyone in their path. If you don’t add this to your TBR? You aren’t a fan of epic dark fantasy! Just click the link above to pre-order this beauty (releasing 4 August), or check out my review to help persuade you!

And that’s a wrap, glitterbugs!

Happy reading, dear bookworms. And stay tuned for more reviews in August…
