I’m celebrating in my July Books Recap, because the only books I didn’t read from my July Book Goals post are the ones that haven’t arrived in the mail just yet! I know, I know, I could read them as ebooks… But I’m stubborn that way. So the tantalising stories of These Twisted Bonds and When Souls Tear will have to wait for next month’s recap, but there’s plenty more to dive into below!
All of the beautiful books I read this month are fantasy, aside from Kate Forsyth’s The Crimson Thread. That rich and deftly woven tale is a historical fiction, and one which I think anyone who loves that genre would adore.

You can read any (or all) of my book reviews for July by clicking the links below, including the very special fairytales collaboration between Kate Forsyth and Lorena Carrington! Although that one isn’t featured on my website, it can be read via my Instagram and Facebook pages. So without further ado, here’s the review links for my July Books Recap:

Runes and Rebellion: Ryver Knight
The Crimson Thread: Kate Forsyth
The Gardener’s Son and the Golden Bird: Kate Forsyth & Lorena Carrington
A Lie of Desert Red: R. K. Hart
And the July Favourite Read Goes To…
I don’t know why I ever thought choosing a favourite would be easy, because it really isn’t! But this month’s favourite has to be To Dream of White & Gold by R. K. Hart. It tore my heart out and made me cry so hard I thought I was going to be sick… So clearly it’s a good one, right?! But seriously, this epic YA fantasy is a magnificent novel. And like I said in my review, this book tugs at the heartstrings and grounds you when you feel lost. Keep an eye out for anything and everything Rebekka writes, because I promise you’re in good hands with her storytelling.
And that’s a wrap, glitterbugs!
Happy reading, dear bookworms. And stay tuned for more reviews in August…
