June 2024 Books RECAP

June 2024 Books Recap: superimposed over a wintery abstract are five book covers. Top row: Either Side of Midnight by Benjamin Stevenson and Stealing Embers by Julie Hall. Bottom row: Vice and Verity by Rebecca Camm, Court of Claws by Briar Boleyn, Drakkon: Empire's Curse by Maham Fatemi.

Truth be told glitterbugs, my June 2024 Books Recap got nowhere close to fulfilling my June Book Goals. Thanks to a dose of ill health on top of my chronic illnesses, June decided to throw a number of spanners in the works and the reading fell by the wayside. However, I’m happy to say that I’ve now started my beautiful ARC of Mistress of Amber and Flame by Maria Linwood! So let’s talk about what I *did* read in June, shall we?

This small list is heavily invested in the romantasy genre, but if you fancy a murder mystery? Do yourself a favour and check out the incredible work of Benjamin Stevenson, because his writing will keep you guessing throughout the entire tale! If any of these magical titles grab you, just click their link to hear all my thoughts!

Give me *all* the hot chocolate in this winter weather…

And the June Favourite Read Goes To…

It isn’t easy picking a favourite read, but in my June 2024 Book Recap? The medal just has to go to Vice and Verity by Rebecca Camm, because this epic fantasy finale was *intense*. Rebecca gives us unlikely heroes, even as she imbues Vice and Verity with the powerful themes of love and loss. It’s honestly the perfect finale to The Valmenessian Chronicles and if you want to have your heart cracked wide open, experiencing all the things? This series is going to be your new best friend.

And that’s a wrap, glitterbugs!

Happy reading, dear bookworms. And stay tuned for more reviews in July…
