June Book GOALS

My June Book Goals are very, very manageable this time around. I am 99% sure I said that for May as well, but this time I really do mean it! With the weather getting a lot chillier here in Queensland, it’s time for blankets, bed socks and cups of tea… In fact I’m currently writing to you while I huddle under a blanket!

What’s on the TBR list?

So what am I wanting to read this month? Mostly they are fantasy, but here we go…

  • The Queen of War: Alex Linwood
  • Frost Blood: Elly Blake
  • To Dream of White & Gold: R. K. Hart
  • Flames of Mars: Tjalara Draper
  • Once Upon A Wardrobe: Patti Callahan

Alex Linwood’s novel has been generously supplied to me by the author and Book Sirens, and is a fantasy that features Roman mythology. Patti Callahan’s Once Upon A Wardrobe is a tale about C. S. Lewis (the author of The Chronicles of Narnia), and I couldn’t resist picking it up when I spotted it in a bookstore… I have been really looking forward to reading it, and I’m making it a priority for June!

Anticipated Releases:

Because I have been a little slow with my June Book Goals post, one of my anticipated releases for this month is actually already out in the wide world! Adina Chiles’ Secrets of a Rose is a wonderfully written YA fantasy, and the first in the Royal Blood series. I was lucky enough to read an e-ARC of it last month, and you can read my review here: Secrets of a Rose: Adina Chiles.

My second anticipated release is actually the one at the top of my TBR list: The Queen of War by Alex Linwood! This tale will be published on the 21st, so it’s not long to go now!

Cover images of Secrets of a Rose by Adina Chiles and Alex Linwood's The Queen of War are imposed on an image of frosty white tree branches. Added text says: June Anticipated Releases.
Two exciting new fantasies are released this month… Who doesn’t love the thought of a new world to venture into??

I will admit, I often get confused about what’s coming out each month. My memory just doesn’t seem to retain that kind of knowledge? But whether you’re looking forward to a new book, or about to be pleasantly surprised (like I often am), happy reading, bookworms! I’ll check in with this TBR list again at the end of June, and we’ll see how I’ve done…
