“I was the blade that would make his enemy bleed even more.”

Ella Fields

If you’re looking for a new steamy NA fantasy romance to love, Nectar of the Wicked by Ella Fields is the tale for you! This intense adventure will smash your heart into smithereens by the end, but I promise you, that’s a good thing! Have I already pre-ordered book two, Wrath of the Damned? Yes, yes I have…

The Wild Hunt were meant to trade Flea for her guardian’s human daughter, who was stolen away twenty years ago. But when they kill Flea’s guardian instead, it’s up to Flea to find another way into Faerie to discover her heritage. She doesn’t even have a name, only the curse of Flea from her guardian’s lips, and a debt she must repay before she can escape. When a faerie king offers her everything she desires, it’s in exchange for a blood vow to marry him. But why does King Florian want a changeling to be his queen? Is the winter kingdom just another prison for Flea? And what happens if there’s more than one enemy awaiting her in the faerie realm?

Cover image of Nectar of the Wicked by Ella Fields is to the bottom left of a dark image of lavender. Added text: Can Flea trust the fae winter king to keep his word? Or is she once again a prisoner to someone else's whims?
A dark and steamy NA fantasy romance, Nectar of the Wicked is a wicked delight to read…

Happiness Boost:

Within Nectar of the Wicked, we get enemies to lovers, a marriage of convenience, and a morally grey hero who will completely bewitch bookworms across the world! This dark NA fantasy tumbled into my heart in a way I did not expect, and I’m absolutely overjoyed about that! Ella’s character driven tale had me on tenterhooks the whole way through, and I’m already counting down for the sequel.

Is it weird to have a happiness boost for betrayal? Glitterbugs, this story has a *huge* shock in store for you! My heart was pulverised by the end, but what a way to engulf us in the world of Nectar of the Wicked. Ella, you devious author. I’d take my hat off to you if I was wearing one right now!

We all love the idea of an animal companion, right? I can’t be alone in this? The fact that Flea (I’m deliberately not telling you her true name) rescues a wolf pup and they bond… Well, it’s like the delicious icing on a scrumptious cake. I want more, Ella! So. Much. More. And I’m not gonna lie, December feels incredibly far away. This has been such a wicked delight to read!

I had worried about the strength of the plot, during the time Flea needed to work in Lair of Lust to pay off her guardian’s debts. But after this? Nectar of the Wicked didn’t hold back and a magnificent storyline unfolded before my eyes!
