I’m going to level with you, glitterbugs. Some of these novels for my October Book Goals are e-ARCs, and therefore won’t be available for you to read just yet. But the great news is that you can keep an eye out for my early bird reviews! I’m typing this as a storm of hail and screeching cockatoos ensue, so bear with me…
For October I mostly have fantasy on my TBR list, but a cosy murder mystery has also been added. It had been looking at me from the book fort for a while now, so it was time! I did have to play book jenga to retrieve it, but that’s a small price to pay.
What’s on the TBR list?
I’ve pared back my TBR list a little for my October Book Goals, but who knows what else could pop up to be read by the end of this month! So without further ado, here they are:
- City of Whispers: Katt Powers
- Heart of Flame: Kate Schumacher
- The Gods of War & Darkness: Nattie Kate Mason
- Vorodin’s Lair: J. V. Hilliard
- The Unmarked Witch: Miranda Lyn
- The Foxes of Warwick: Edward Marston
- The Queen’s Assassin: Melissa de la Cruz
- The Path of Thorns: A. G. Slatter
- The Witches’ Blade: A. K. Mulford
- Enchantment of Darkness: Shana J. Caldwell
Anticipated Releases:
There are a number of anticipated releases this October, so I’m going to dot point these beauties and you can mark their release dates on your calendar!
- 13th: Where Oceans Burn: Casey L. Bond
- 15th: The Assassin Thief: Madeline Te Whiu
- 23rd: The Gods of War & Darkness: Nattie Kate Mason

The Assassin Thief by Madeline Te Whiu has actually already been read (and reviewed) by yours truly here on my blog! Feel free to check it out via this link here: The Assassin Thief: Madeline Te Whiu. If you love Dark Fantasy, and are in the mood to read about a flawed and faltering *powerful* heroine who must stop a Mad Fae King? Pre-order it now my bookworms. You won’t regret it!
Happy reading, glitterbugs! I hope you achieve all of your own October Book Goals, and I’m sure we’ll talk soon…
