What I love most about The Lure of Shadows is how Leda and Athena have to learn to trust each other. Because let’s be honest, it would be perfectly understandable if our duo found their hearts were too broken to trust (and love) again. Yet with their connection blossoming from enemies to lovers? It’s such a delightful romantasy novella!
Are we a fan of feminine rage? Absolutely we are! Who wouldn’t be?! So full of rage, Athena’s determined to make the deities who crossed her pay for their choices. It’s such a beautiful thing to witness how Leda’s gentle nature smooths the ragged edges of her heart. Honestly, opposing strengths and weaknesses form the strongest of bonds between Athena and Leda, and I’m so in love with it! Give me more bite-sized treats like this, please and thank you…
Downside:
This is a perfect mini-treat! There’s no downside with this romantic fantasy in my eyes.
